Delivering excellence through the global pandemic.
The Lakelands Country Club (LCC), engaged Cooper & Oxley to redevelop the existing Clubhouse buildings within the LCC course grounds within the City of Wanneroo.
The new facilities now provide a more modern building, designed to meet the needs of the Lakelands Golf Club and the adjacent Retirement Village. The project provides a Premier Club for Junior Golf, stormwater capture and water harvesting, a food and beverage facility and function room for members and external use.

Proactive management and a one team approach ensured early delivery.
This project showcases Cooper & Oxley’s experience completing buildings that contain high specification materials during the finishing stage. The project included timber cladding both externally and internally, timber decking to the first-floor alfresco area, curved brickwork to the bar, feature Gyproc ceilings, exposed face brickwork walls internally and externally along with commercial kitchen fit out, bar fit out and associated freezer rooms and cool rooms.
The scope included demolition of the original clubhouse and construction of a contemporary new purpose-built facility whilst the championship golf course continued to operate.
The use of experienced specialist trades and effective management on site, along with Cooper & Oxley’s stringent quality management systems ensured an outstanding end product was delivered over two months ahead of schedule.

Cooper & Oxley were very proactive with offering savings and alternatives throughout the build to further help with the budget. Their collaborative and professional manner has ensured that any project issues were dealt with in a swift and proactive manner, along with ensuring the high quality of construction.

Open and frank discussions resulted in optimum mitigation strategies.
Following a competitive tender process, Cooper & Oxley was nominated as preferred tenderer. The project was over budget at the time and therefore a series of Value Engineering Workshops we conducted to review and propose changes along with cost savings.
We worked collaboratively with all design consultants to provide the client with a shopping list of items. The process identified savings of approximately 7% of the total cost, thus allowing the project to continue.
In doing so, better solutions were identified to not only reduce the cost but also, the long-term maintenance and life cycle of building costs.

Completed October 2020
