Undertaking the intricate task of extending, modifying, and refurbishing the existing unit, Cooper & Oxley meticulously adhered to stringent Australian standards and regulations. Through strategic redesign and meticulous planning, the layout was optimised to empower RPH pharmacy staff to prepare and produce pharmaceutical treatments with unparalleled efficiency and precision. The result is a secure, purpose-built facility that upholds the highest standards of medication quality and safety.

The scope of works, delivered by Cooper & Oxley, included additions, alterations, and refurbishments to the existing Aseptic Compounding Unit at Royal Perth Hospital, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian standards and regulatory requirements. Key aspects of the project include constructing the facility to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) compliance, incorporating environmental controls, constructing HVAC systems, and installing a comprehensive video surveillance system (VSS) upgrade and Security Operations Centre (SOC) for centralised monitoring.
