This new 4 storey office building includes a split level piled basement, undercroft, open deck car parking, chapel and specialist medical suites. The building structure comprises an insitu and precast concrete frame with a steel framed portal roof. The external facades are a combination of glazing and aluminium composite cladding supported by structural steel awnings and frameworks. The retaining systems used for the split level basement were designed with close consultation with Cooper & Oxley after the tender was awarded. The previous designed contiguous pile wall was supplemented with sheet piles (pre-drilled) and soil nail solutions due to restrictions on internal floor space, car parking and the presence of rock.
