We bring the capability to realise each client’s vision
The Hamersley Public Golf Course (HPGC) opened in 1968 and includes the existing golf pro shop, caretaker residence and golf maintenance facilities.
As the City of Stirling’s only public golf course, it attracts approximately 90,000 visits a year. With limited capital upgrades to the golf course buildings over the past 50 years, the facilities were consequently ageing and did not meet contemporary golf course standards for patrons and the wider community.

Success means community satisfaction and client peace of mind
The golf course redevelopment works, delivered by Cooper & Oxley, included demolition of the existing golf pavilion and construction of a new, more modern golf pavilion. The new pavilion includes a new restaurant, multi-purpose function room, café/kiosk, alfresco area, toilets, pro shop, VR golf simulator room with moveable putting green, administration area, along with 70 additional parking bays.
The existing driving range was replaced with a fully licensed two-level, 30-bay automated driving range with advanced ball-tracking technology, where food and drinks are now served via automated Caddy. New netting was also installed along with a new plant room.
Alongside the range of new features, the golf course redevelopment also included the City of Stirling’s “biggest ever public art project”. Local tuart trees inspired the four interconnected art pieces you’ll find running from the pavilion to the range, with one piece spanning over 40m.

Once again, thank you to Cooper & Oxley for your above and beyond support contributing to the success of this superbly executed project. It was a pleasure working with Cooper & Oxley on this significant community upgrade.

Open and frank discussions resulted in optimum mitigation strategies.
Constructed in a public environment, with adjoining car parking areas, golf course areas and temporary club facilities adjoining the site, meant additional measures were used to ensure pedestrian routes were protected and provided safe access for patrons.
Protected trees were identified and required physical barriers around their perimeter, with signage identifying their importance acknowledged.
The use of experienced specialist trades, along with our stringent quality
management systems, ensured an outstanding end product for the City of Stirling.
